Brazilian Federal Police on the verge of summoning international air transport companies to regularize their registration in Brazil

The Permanent Commission for Registration and Inspection of International Transport Companies, linked to the Immigration Police Station of the Federal Police Department, is about to summon airlines to appear before said Commission, within 30 (thirty days), counting from the receipt of the summons, to present documents required by the corresponding legislation, aiming at regularization with the National System for Registration and Control of International Transport - SINACTI.

In addition to the legally required documents, if there are irregularities, airlines will be required to pay any fines and/or fees related to annual registration fees. All of these fees must be collected through the issuance of Federal Collection Guides (GRU).

Registered companies will be inspected by the Federal Police and those that demonstrably meet the legal requirements to operate international transport will receive the Certificate of Registration and Inspection of International Transport Company.

Failure to comply with this call will result in the cancellation of the registration and consequent impediment to operating international air transport in Brazil, with information about this impediment being sent to other regulatory bodies, such as the National Civil Aviation Agency – ANAC, for example.
